Indiana Pharmacies Making Vaccinations More Available0
A new law is taking effect in Indiana allowing community pharmacies to offer a wider range of vaccines to the community. This law allows pharmacists to provide five different immunizations without a prescription.
Pharmacists are among the most trusted health professionals and independents are leading the way when it comes to service. This new law will allow independent pharmacies to provide vaccinations at the pharmacy without having to make a doctors appointment and delaying vaccination.
This new legislation allows the community pharmacist to vaccinate against pneumonia, tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough, HPV infections and meningitis. And several insurance companies will cover the cost of vaccinations provided by pharmacists.
